Will it actually be breezy?Blk 228 Jurong East St 21 · Jurong East

Still under construction

This tool is an early preview and we’re still calibrating it.

Layouts may not match your flat, results can shift as we tune the model, and some blocks won’t load yet. Have a play, but don’t make a decision on it just yet.

How airflow works

Air needs a way in and a way out. Openings on different sides of a flat let wind pass through; walls and nearby buildings change its path.

Which flat?

Pre-filled from what has sold in this block. Change it if it’s wrong.

Model · Simplified · about 86 m²

Sales here go up to storey 11. Higher floors catch more wind.

Lets us remember which way your stack faces, so the next person skips that step.

What this is and isn’t

This is a simplified two-dimensional model of a single storey. It shows where air goes and how much, not exact speeds. It doesn’t model heat, humidity, or the stack effect that pulls air up through a block on a still day. Room grades sit on a fixed scale, so they mean the same thing from one flat to the next.

Layouts come from our own tracings, each checked by hand before it goes live. We keep the geometry, never the drawings. An HDB layout matched by flat type and size is usually right and occasionally isn’t, so check it looks like your flat before trusting the result. Sheltering and shade from surrounding buildings use their real outlines and heights, from HDB’s building data and OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors), but we don’t know exactly where your flat sits along its block.

Sunlight is direct sun only, worked out from the sun’s path over Singapore and the buildings around this one. It doesn’t count light bouncing off walls, ledges or window shades, and it assumes typical window heights.

Live wind direction and speed come from NEA’s weather stations via data.gov.sg, read from the station nearest this block and refreshed every five minutes.
